Historically, a “future-proof” supply chain could be translated as ensuring that your product gets to your customers faster than your competitors. In today’s landscape however, one could argue that if the product reaches the customer, it can be deemed to be both competitive and reliable.  How do we work towards that resilient, agile and future-proof supply chain?

Angelo stresses that “organisations compete through their supply chains, [and] this has become even more important now than ever”.

More Resilient, Agile and Future-Proof Supply Chain Operations

Angelo notes that they broke down some of the key areas of focus when looking to improve their supply chain operations and processes, such as implementing key KPI targets on:

  • Health and Safety
  • Facilities
  • Supply Chain Coordination
  • Procurement
  • Admin and Ops Intelligence

As such, dormakaba created 121 Power BI reports when rolling out their Control Tower Development. These input into 12 Power BI dashboards with a result of complete visibility. Not only that, they now fully understand how they were performing against their targets.

Having these dashboards has meant that they rolled out nearly 470 improvement initiatives, 90% of which took place within the agreed timeline. These are just some of the initiatives that dormakaba have used to more resilient, agile and future-proof supply chain operations.
