When Enel acquired eMotorWerks, the Silicon Valley startup that invented the first residential network managed EV charger, it was not obvious how to leverage the strengths of both entities without drowning the innovation into a sea of bureaucracy. Enel merged eMotorWerks' leadership in smart EV charger management with the product offering of Enel Green Power in Renewable Energy Certificates to create custom products that leverage the best of both worlds, focusing on large fleet operators. This presentation describes how the core competencies of seemingly disparate businesses was used to create a custom offering tailored to magnify the impact of the solutions, while opening the door to a large partnership as fleet operators electrify.
