By definition compliance means conforming to a rule, such as a specification, policy, standard of law. Regulatory compliance goes further stating that it is the goal that organizations will strive to meet the requirements by being aware of all requirements and make sure compliances are met in time and in proper order.

At Comet Technology Plasma Control Technology Division, being a supplier to Semiconductor Equipment OEMs, the company faces many regulatory and compliance requirements to meet government regulations. Comet Technology has to meet European REACH and RoHS compliances, Conflict Minerals Law requirements per US government.

The discussion will be on the principals of these compliance and regulations and how companies can manage these compliances regularly and not compromise quality of the products. A balance of meeting these requirements while not delaying schedules and avoid cost adders are to be achieved with strong strategies in supply chain, quality and product development.
